The 2017 Drainage Study identified improvements necessary to reduce street pond along the Elkins Blvd. and Commonwealth Blvd.

Reconstruction of the existing drainage system to reduce street ponding depths and durations during major storm events. The project will reduce street ponding in the neighborhoods of Avalon and Brazos Landing and along Commonwealth Blvd. (from Monarch Drive to Berenger Place). The project is coordinated with FBC LID No. 14.

Phase III of the improvements will be along Commonwealth Blvd. in a future GO Bond.
